Swaddled, or Embalmed?

Joe Francis – the guy who made millions off his Girls Gone Wild franchise – is expecting twins with his girlfriend. So he figured maybe it would be good to get some lessons on how to care for the kids from an expert?

So who does he turn to? None other than the woman who serves as nanny to North West, the child of KimYe.

Check out the video below to see Joe’s lesson in swaddling his children. It starts with him laying on sheet on his lawn, and quickly turns into a hostage situation.

Seriously. Joe ends up being so tightly wrapped, I’m pretty sure this woman spent a previous lifetime wrapping Egyptian pharaohs before they took up residence in their personal pyramids.

Shake It Off, Why Don't Ya?

Taylor Swift’s first single from her new album “1989” has been released.

Shake It Off” features Taylor and her back-ups performing a wide variety of dance moves, and it’s pretty good – if I dare say so – in its simplicity.

My favorite dancers – all done by Taylor – are the awkward ballerina, with the twerk victim a close second.

But go ahead and check it out for yourself.

Kim's New Book

Kim Kardashian revealed recently that she’ll be publishing a book next April.

Not to worry – she didn’t write anything. [Insert your own joke here.]

Instead, she’s releasing a book called “Selfish” that features 352 pages of selfies.

Right. Pictures of Kim, some taken by Kim, some taken of Kim, but all pictures of Kim.

Just $19.95. Unless of course you happen to have Instagram, like the rest of the world.

Looks like you can hang onto that cash after all…

And here’s my two cents worth: if she keeps posting pictures like this one from the other day, she’s going to have to change the name of the book to “What Is WRONG With This Girl?

Charlie Sheen Goes Big & Green with the Ice Bucket Challenge

You never know what to expect with Charlie Sheen.

I mean, which one will show up? Good Charlie? Bad Charlie? Out-of-control Charlie? Well-behaved Charlie? Or a Charlie we haven’t yet met?

Well, when it comes to accepting and one-upping the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, it looks like Good Charlie stepped up to the plate.

Check out the video to see how perfectly he plays it.

And to show he’s still got his sense of humor, he calls out Jon Cryer,  his former co-star on Two & A Half Men, Chuck Lorre, one of the producers of the show, and Ashton Kutcher, who took his place on the show.

Madden NFL Raps into Season 15

It’s hard to fathom, but the Madden NFL video game – produced by EA Sports – enters its 15th season this year.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is this year’s coverthlete (just trying to coin a word for  inclusion in next year’s Oxford Online Dictionary), and the game has been updated with some fun new bells and whistles, like Player Sense 2.0 that improves the players’ contextual awareness, head tracking and emotions.

If they managed to bottle Richard Sherman’s emotions, there will be a lot of video screens broken from the inside this year.

Check out the game’s new promotional rap video, featuring comedian Kevin Hart and actor Dave Franco getting a little, shall we say, intense about the game…

Justin Timberlake for Pope!

The parents of an 8-year-old boy with autism knew that their son’s biggest birthday wish was to go to a Justin Timberlake concert.

So they were able to get him to a JT concert in San Jose, California. The young man – Julian – tried all night to get JT’s attention when finally, with a little help from some complete strangers, he succeeded.

Not only did he get JT’s attention, but he got it all – plus the attention of the 25,000 at the concert, as JT stopped the show to sing “Happy Birthday” to the little man.

What an amazing experience.

Check out the video below, and then check out what Julian’s mom had to say about the night.

Women Outpace Men In Running The Distance

Women and men have different strengths, and new data shows women are better at pacing themselves when running than men are. Researchers looked at nearly 92 thousand runners in 14 marathons. They found that at the halfway point, men slowed down an average of 16 percent, while women slowed down just 12 percent. Even experienced male runners were found to be more likely than experienced women to see their speed decrease in the second half of a marathon. Why does this happen? A researcher says it may be because "men burn a greater percentage of carbohydrates for fuel than women," while women burn more fat. This means that "men typically run out of fuel or hit the wall earlier than women do." The other theory is that men simple start off fast and hope they can keep the pace

Gym Memberships For Dogs And Cats

If Fido is overweight it's your responsibility to get him back on track. Luckily, there are now gym memberships for dogs. One such gym is K9 Fit Club in Chicago, where dogs can go for hour-long obedience sessions that double as a workout. K9 Fit has eight gyms across the country and offers classes that are designed to give both dogs and their owners a dose of cardio and strength training. Dr. Marty Becker of Vetstreet.com says, "When you exercise with your pet, you tend to stick to it because they enjoy it so much. They encourage you to get your tail off the floor and out the door.

Oxford Dictionary Adds On

The folks at the Oxford Online Dictionary have added some very interesting words to the official English list.

Included this time around: “throwing shade,” “hot mess,” “hate-watch” and “live-tweeting.” Sounds like the Oxford editors have been watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians, doesn’t it?

Is this the desecration of the English language? Is this Oxford bowing to the pressure to be hip and different? Or is Oxford simply catching up to the world in which we live?

You decide. And whatever you decide, it will be amazeballs.
