In addition to two attempted sexual assaults last weekend, Gainesville & University Police are now investigating a 4th that happened early Friday (9/5) morning in the library west section of UF. This follows a 3rd attack, reported Thursday morning (9/4) just after 2am on NE 15th Street in Gainesville. The first attack was reported on Saturday (8/30) at 9:20pm. with the suspect attacked a 21-year-old woman on the 1800 block of NW Second Avenue. Five hours later, about 2am on Sunday (8/31), a man fitting the description from the earlier attack emerged and pulled a woman into a patch of bushes near the 400 block of NW 13th Street. In all 4 incidents, the description of the suspect is the same: heavyset white man in early 20s; 6 feet 5 inches tall, with close-cut brown hair and a tightly cropped beard. most recently, the man was wearing an orange shirt and blue cargo shorts. Federal officials continue to investigate hacking claims that led to the online leaks of nude pics of stars such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. Reports indicate that as many as 100 celebrities might have been hacked (and their photos saved) leading to speculation that more clandestinely-acquired celebrity nudes might be leaked in the future.
