When a women's photo was taken indoors she received 60-percent more messages, while men received 19-percent more messages if their photo was taken outside. Posting photos with pets in them is not a good idea, and reduced women's popularity by 53-percent and men's by 42-percent. Also, honesty is usually the best policy as men who mentioned divorces and separations in their profiles got 52-percent more messages, and if they mentioned a son or daughter they got a seven-percent boost. However, women should not be so honest, mentioning children got them a seven-percent dip in messages received. Additionally, keeping it short and sweet is best, as users with profiles that were 100 to 200 words received ten-percent more messages than those with longer profiles. (Daily Mail)
