Roll Cancer To The Curb

Women have a one in eight chance of a being diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That puts breast cancer as the second most common cancer among women and the second leading cause of cancer death among women of all races and ethnicities. It's why nearly all of us have been somehow affected by it. Our mothers, wives and daughters. Our role models, best friends and heroes; each with their own story of struggles, triumphs and tragedies. It's why 98.5 KTK and WCA Waste Corporation have teamed up for the for Roll Cancer To The Curb Program. As National Breast Cancer Awareness month approaches, we invite you to take part in the fight in a unique way that goes beyond one month. Gainesville and incorporated Alachua County residents, for just $50, your home will be have the use of a 64 gallon pink waste container for an entire year! The best part is that $50 fee will all be donated the upcoming American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Gainesville on Saturday, October 21st. That's right 100 of your $50 rental fee will go to help fight breast cancer and a cure. That way, every time you use it and wheel it to the curb for an entire year, you're reminded of those courageous women who will not let cancer silence them. Do it in memory. Do it for your survivor.
