Beef Prices Sliding Down Just In Time For Summer Cookouts
Good news for grillers, after last year's price increases, beef is on the way down in being more affordable. An increase of beef output has already dropped the price of ground beef by 9% and steaks by 6.6% from the same time last year and with forecasts still showing prices sliding, look for beef to be more in line with often cheaper meats, such as pork and chicken. In fact, more Americans are eating red meat with an estimated 8% increase, which is the highest yearly increase since 1970, according to one report. But the savings aren't just expected to be restricted to the grocery store, look for many low priced beef promotions and deals at restaurants too.
