Del Leppard Launches Beer Line

May 15, 2018

If you're planning on rocking out to Def Leppard in Tampa August 18th, you can celebrate by cracking open a can of Def Leppard pale, a brand new beer that will be available, as of May 23rd, at Def Leppard concerts as they tour the world with Journey. Def Leppard ale is a creation of the Elysian Brewing Company of Seattle and is described as a perfect match of British malt and American citrus and piney hops for a 6% alcohol beer you can drink all night long. The 16oz can resembles the band's Hysteria album cover and in addition to being sold at Def Leppard/Journey concerts, the beer will be available at some bars, pubs and restaurants in the vicinity of each show, potentially a week in advance of the concert and a few days after. If sales are good, plans are to market the Def Leppard beer nationally.  Def Leppard isn't the only hand to create their own brew, rockers Iron Maiden launched their "Trooper" beer 5 years ago, which has been a successful brand.  It is available online and through Total Wine.
