Ever wonder why certain ads pop up while using Facebook? Or do certain ads annoy you and you ? Every time you visit the social media giant, Facebook is stalking you and compiling a fairly detailed list.  But what exactly do they know about you?  See for yourself.  Login to Facebook, not through the mobile app, and in the upper right corner, click on the upside down triangle and select "settings."

Then look on the left side of the page for the page menu and click on "ads."

Voila!  You are now in the "ad preferences" page and all the stories your read, pictures you’ve liked and all the statuses you've shared have been used to create a profile of you that includes your interests, the advertisers you've interacted with and even favorite sport!  There is even information on your political views and which mobile device you use!

The nice thing about all this information is you can hide it.  For instance, if you don't want to see alcohol ads, you can turn them off.  If you don't want to see ads from a particular store you once shopped, you can remove it.
